my project focuses broadly on reactions, which are triggered by mechanical activation (friction), in particular polymerization processes. the reaction products will be characterized not only chemically, but also from a mechanical point of view. Project Description

The focus of my project is to synthesize new acrylate-type macromonomers via the high-temperature radical polymerization where unsaturated oligomers are directly obtained without the addition of a control agent. The aim is to use these endfunctionalized oligomers as starting material in the synthesis of complex molecular architectures such as brush, comb or star polymers.
